IS THERE BATHROOM, CHANGING ROOM, PICNIC AREA?
The only water we have that flows is the river. We have a Port-a-potty, a changing room, and several picnic tables for our paying customers.

We recommend swimsuit, sunscreen & securely fitting shoes.
WILL WE SEE WILDLIFE?
Perhaps if you keep your eyes open and you are lucky. This is a natural river and you could see bugs, wasps, snakes, otter, fish, deer, bear.
HOW LONG IS FLOAT TIME?
Approximately 1 1/2 hours - 2 hours.
WHY DO YOU CLOSE SO EARLY?
Our last shuttle departs at 3pm that means our last group of tubers won't return until 5pm or so. Then cleanup & lock up which means we can't leave until 6ish, not so early after all.
WHAT IS THE RIVER TEMPERATURE?
The average temperature is 65-70 F. Sounds chilly and no lie it is when you first get in. Remember you will be floating on a tube, paddling, kicking and if the sun is out the water will help keep you cool.
ARE Y0U OPEN?
Our season begins the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. We are open 7 days a week, weather permitting. Shuttles run all day from 10am until 3pm. Our last day of the season is Monday of Labor Day Weekend, unless otherwise posted.
DOES THE RIVER GO AROUND AND BRING US BACK HERE?
No, this isn't a "Lazy River" this is the Toccoa River (Georgia) / Ocoee River (Tennessee). It is a single 93 mile long river that flows Northwestward.
WHAT ABOUT THE DAM and LAKE?
We are located on the upper Toccoa River ABOVE Lake Blue Ridge and the Blue Ridge Dam. The water you are floating in is rainwater that flows down the mountains from Suches.
ARE COOLERS ALLOWED?
No, and the less you take with you the less you are likely to lose. You may take a 32 oz. plastic drink container, but NO Alcohol and NO litering.
CAN I TAKE MY CAMERA? PHONE? CAR KEYS?
Again the less you take the less you are likely to lose. We sell dry bags if you must take your cell phone, just an FYI there is NO CELL service for 90% of your float. We also sell floating disposable water cameras. You will park your vehicle then be shuttled up river and float back to your starting point where your vehicle is parked. We do offer a place to hang keys, but you can leave them at your own risk.
DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM OR BE A GOOD SWIMMER?
You will be floating down a rather calm part of the river with only 2 or 3 small rapids. There are several deep holes where you can enjoy a quick swim. The river level varies, most of the time the river is ankle to knee deep. We are required to issue everyone a life jacket with children 13 and younger required to wear them.
CAN I BRING MY OWN LIFE JACKET?
Yes you may, as long as it is US Coast Guard Approved.
IS THERE A WEIGHT, HEIGHT, or AGE LIMIT?
You must be 4 years or older, weight is only limited by how much work you are willing to do. The weight of a person determines how low the tube sinks down in the water. Heavier folks might encounter a few more rocks and get hung up more than their lighter friends.
DO I NEED RESERVATIONS?
No reservations needed. We have two shuttle vans that run as needed beginning at 10AM until 3PM, 7 days a week. If you have a group of 30 or more please give us at least one days notice so that we can be prepared for your floatilla!
